Welcome back Carrie Wall!

She's been out of town since this whole things started.  I wonder if any damage control will be done when she gets back in the office on Monday.

No one I know who is still hanging on at the Y -- yes, there are a few of us who haven't pulled the trigger, so to speak, and left -- trusts her one iota.

  1. Man, I just hope the woman takes care of those that are left. I am really skeptical at this point.

  2. I have no faith in Carrie or her administration. They've managed to systematically destroy this team/family. We voted with our feet and left. We've cancelled our family membership and have decided not to gift the YMCA with anymore donations. After 12 years of being apart of the YMCA family (MEYO, MWY & YDC) we are taking our talents elsewhere; never thought we'd leave Y Swimming.

I wish the best to our remaining families - I hope the season can be salvaged for your sake. And, I hope you find a new home.

  3. The luxury of having a boy in High School swimming -- we don't need to make a decision pronto. I'm pretty sure we'll leave, I don't think there's a relay left. :( And that's all that was enticing us to stay.

  4. Any comments on the latest in the paper about the Childcare violations?

    1. I want to keep this blog focused on the dwindling swim team. The Childcare violations are a tangent that I think the Volunteer Overseeing Board should be very worried about -- talk about a HUGE legal liability if something happens now! -- and they do reflect on the leadership abilities of the person in charge. If I had a kid in the program, I'd be phoning/emailing Carrie a LOT to see what very specific steps have been already taken (I'm assuming they've already been taken, shame on them if not) to address the issues.
